Yes, VAT will typically be applied at the local rate of the country where your charter starts. This rate varies depending on the specific location, as each country has its own VAT regulations.
Before the start of your charter, we will request payment of the Advanced Provisioning Allowance (APA), typically set at 35% – 40% of the charter fee. This amount is used to stock the yacht with food and beverages, cover fuel expenses, and address any additional berthing needs during your trip.
You can add funds to your APA at any time throughout your charter by giving cash directly to the Captain. This flexibility lets you adjust the budget for your trip’s provisions, fuel, or other expenses. Just let the Captain know how much you wish to contribute, and they will ensure that the additional funds are appropriately allocated. This way, you can control your spending and ensure all your needs are met during your charter experience.
Your Captain will maintain a detailed record of how your APA funds have been utilised and provide you with the exact remaining balance at the end of the charter. Any leftover amount will be reimbursed to you.
Tips are entirely at the discretion of the charterer. If you choose to give a tip, the industry standard is typically around 10% – 15% of the charter fee.
Absolutely. Right from the start, your charter consultant will work closely with you and the Captain to design the perfect itinerary tailored to your preferences and those of your guests. Whether you want to be actively involved in every detail or prefer a more hands-off approach, the level of involvement is entirely up to you.
It’s important to remember that the itinerary will be subject to weather conditions and berth availability. While we strive to meet your desired plans, some adjustments may be necessary. Yes. Yachts frequently reposition themselves based on your preferred embarkation location. Likewise, you can decide to leave the yacht at a location different from its home berth. A relocation fee may be applicable in either situation, and your charter consultant will discuss this with you when booking.
