What is unique about the area around Ålesund is primarily the combination of islands, fjords and high mountains. Small and large islands that offer spectacular motifs, dining experiences, buildings and activities.

Inside the fjord are high, precipitous mountains that plunge into the fjord. Large famous waterfalls, incredibly beautiful views from the mountain are some of the unique things in the fjords. This area offers many experiences on water and on land. It is almost only the imagination that sets the limits.

EXAMPLE ITINERARY

Aalesund

Enjoy a stroll through the streets of one of Norway’s most unique locations Ålesund, a port town on the west coast of Norway, famous for its Art Nouveau architecture. Often referred to as the cultural centre of the Sunnmøre region, nestled in the middle of the Norwegian Fijords, she is surrounded by steep mountains which in turn create breath-taking views and the most picturesque location.

At 12:00 noon you will begin your adventure and step on board your chosen yacht to be greeted by your professional crew.

Oye

Starting your day in Oye you have the option to travel by road or by Helicopter to “Loen/Olden”.

Here you can experience year-round skiing on their glaciers and a gondola that takes you up to over 1,000 meters above sea level in just a few minutes. Once you arrive on the peak of the mountain, you will be met with a stunning restaurant at the top with fantastic views over several fjord arms. Here in “Loen” there is also a beautiful SPA hotel where guests can enjoy relaxing treatments and sumptuous cocktails.

While you enjoy the views and SPA, your yacht will be moved to her new location. You will then return by road or helicopter to your yacht where your crew will be waiting to ply you with freshly prepared gourmet food. The yacht will then berth overnight in “Hellesylt” next to “Geirangerfjord”, one of the most stunning and dramatic landscapes in all of Norway.

Geirangerfjords / Geiranger.

You will begin your day with a trip to a number of awe-inspiring waterfalls, including the Seven Sisters, the Suitor and the Bridal Veil, which are conveniently also visible by boat.
The Seven Sisters is the 39th tallest waterfall in Norway. This 410-metre high waterfall consists of seven separate streams, and the tallest of the seven has a free fall that measures 250 metres.
Following this, you can enjoy swimming in the crystal-clear waters of the fjords, take a mountain walk and enjoy incredible viewpoints.
If you’d prefer a less active day, there is also much to see and enjoy from the comfort of your yacht. “Geiranger” is truly a highlight of the trip and therefore worth staying a little longer and enjoying the some of the best scenic views in the world.

Valldal

Enjoy a morning of cruising the fjords before making a stop in “Valldal”, which is said to grow the world’s best Strawberries!
Also famous for its canyoning and rafting, adrenalin junkies have their pick of activities to choose from. Petrol Heads can also take on the world famous “Trollstigen road” one of the top International driving experiences. This mountain pass is full of hairpin bends and therefore only open in the summer months.

Sandsoy

Heading along the fjords and following them South-West, you will find a small island named “Sandsoy”. Located at the entrance of the North Sea, here you can enjoy cave walking, RIB trips, fishing trips by local fishing boat or just relax on board your yacht. Enjoy exquisite, locally sourced fine dining prepared by your very own chef on the comfort of your yacht.

Aalesund

While enjoying your final breakfast onboard, your Captain with take you from Sandsoy to Aalesund approximately 25 NM. On this trip to Aalesund, you will see the famous ‘Bird Rock’ on the island of Runde, home to 500,000 birds of different and unique species. This is a spectacular sight that travellers from all over the world come to experience every year.
Further along the coast during your cruise, you will enjoy the very best of Norwegian landscapes with islands surrounding the boat and dramatic mountains ranges framing the backdrop.
At 12 noon you will depart the yacht full of experiences and memories to treasure for a lifetime and ready to plan your next adventure.
