What is unique about the area around Ålesund is primarily the combination of islands, fjords and high mountains. Small and large islands that offer spectacular motifs, dining experiences, buildings and activities.

Along the coast, you can witness an incredibly beautiful sunset. See how the sea “swallows” the sun in the distance.

Inside the fjord are high, precipitous mountains that plunge into the fjord. Large famous waterfalls, incredibly beautiful views from the mountain are some of the unique things in the fjords. This area offers many experiences on water and on land. It is almost only the imagination that sets the limits.
