The Balearic Islands comprising of Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera are becoming a more and more popular charter destination, and to those who have visited her crystal clear water and stunning scenary, it’s easy to understand why. These islands have so much to offer; beautiful traditional towns, untouched beaches, and plentiful diving sites – something for every guest and every mood.

EXAMPLE ITINERARY

PALMA TO PUERTO PORTALS

After a morning full of excitement and anticipation, embark your chosen Sunseeker at 12:00 noon. After being welcomed by your friendly Captian and crew in Port de Mallorca, you will set off, champagne in hand, in search of a quiet and serene ‘cala’ (cove) for a swim. Spoilt for choice, you will have your pick from many of the surrounding breathtaking beaches, Las Illetas and Cala Portals being among the favourites. After working up an appetite you have the choice of returning to your home berth to sample some of the chef’s delicious food, or venture into Palma Old Town where a wide selection of authentic cuisine awaits in numerous restaurants. Another option is to anchor overnight in Puerto Portals where you will be transferred by tender to the marina complex that offers a vast array of wonderful restuarants.

PORT DE POLLENSA

Today is a day of adventure and exploration, so your onboard chef will fix you a nutritious and hearty breakfast to set you up for the day’s activities. As you eat, your Captain with guide your Sunseeker leisurely across to Porto Cristo, showing you the prehistoric caves along the sealine. A short walk from the harbour, once your inside the caves you will witness the largest underground lake in the world. A truly breathtaking sight, no charter to Mallorca is complete without seeing this remarkable attraction of the island. Porto Cristo is one of the best places to anchor and explore; with caves, pristine beaches overlooked by pine woods and an abundance of underwater wildlife to meet through your snorkel. By evening you will reach the artistic town of Pollensa, where you can enjoy a delicious dinner on a beachfront restaurant where you can eat, relax and enjoy the sunset over the water.

PORT SOLLER

Whilst being served a delicious, fresh breakfast of your choice, you will make your way to Sa Colabra where you will see some of the most stunning wild landscapes the island (in fact, most islands) has to offer. Head into the mouth of the Sa Colabra and admire the ‘Torrent de Pareis’, a 4km descending, twisting road known as the ‘tie knot’. It joins the sea between two huge rocks and its course carves out a deep gully as deep as 400 metres. Enjoy a light lunch from the comfort of your yacht, after which you will cruise to Port Soller. Rich in its history and beautiful architecture, this town is a must on anyone’s to-see list whilst on the island. Visit the modernist Parish Church and take a tram up to the traditional old town for a wander. In the evening you can take a stroll along the beach before you dine aboard your motoryacht, or sit down to eat in one of the open air cafes in this picturesque and charming village.

PORT D’ANDRATX

In the morning take a cruise along the coast to Deia, a beautiful town of stone buildings and crystal clear waters full of marine wildlife, making this a great place for some snorkelling. After lunch you will cruise over to the Island of Sa Dragonera, named for its shape resembling a lizard basking in the Balearic sun. Here, you too, can choose to bask in the sun, or for the more adventurous Sa Dragonera offers some wonderful caves hidden along its coastline. Spend your evening in the charming old fishing village of Port d’ Andratx, where you will be able to sit back and watch the sun set behind Sa Dragonera. After dinner you can visit Sa Mola, a popular place to visit by well-known personalities from the world of politics, art and aristocracy. Here you can visit the 16th Century water tower or enjoy a well deserved drink at Tim’s bar.

PORT ADRIANO

After another freshly prepared breakfast, you will start your journey to Port Adriano, a luxury super-yacht harbour designed by French architect Phillipe Starck. Opened in 2012, Port Adriano is one of the most modern marinas in the Mediterranean and offers 492 moorings between six and 100 metres, accommodating for some of the largest yachts in the world. The quayside is home to over 50 high-end restaurants, bars and designer boutiques for its exclusive clientele. One of the biggest attractions of Port Adriano, however, is its busy calendar. Depending on what time of year you visit, the marina hosts a number of fairs, festivals, concerts and parades; there is always something to do at Port Adriano making it a great choice for a number of guests. Here you can shop til you drop, join in on watersports or yoga classes, play at one of the best golf courses on the island, or wander around El Toro and go for a swim at Cala de ses Penyes Roges, a beautiful golden sand beach surrounded by striking red rocks. Enjoy dinner at any of the highly rated restaurants on the marina, or enjoy dinner and the sunset from the comfort of your own aft deck.

PALMA

After a leisurely breakfast, you will make your way from Port Adriano and cruise across the bay of Illetas, passing the well-known “Beverley Hills” marina of Puerto Portals – a nautical playfound for the rich and famous. Here the streets are lined with designer shops and chic eateries for you to enjoy if you so desire, or you may want to soak up the sun in a beautiful 250 metre stretch of beach close to the marina. A lunch reservation will be made for you and your guests at the highly acclaimed Lila Portals Beach Restaurant and Bar. Here you and your guests can enjoy lunch with a view of the crystal clear waters of the bay below. Lila Portal even offers cooking classes, so you can take the taste of Mallorca home with you! The final part of your journey will take you back to the City of Palma. If you choose to stay onboard a tapas tasting board will be served on the aft deck along with bespoke cocktails. If you choose to spend the last evening in the city, reservations will be made at the beautiful Forn De Sant Joan, where you can enjoy an authentic and locally sourced meal and reflect on your Sunseeker experience as it comes to an end.

DISEMBARK

After a delicious breakfast consisting of the freshest local produce – fruit, pastries, meat and cheeses – you and your guests will enjoy a relaxed final morning onboard your Sunseeker and at 12:00 noon your Captain and Crew will bid you a fond farewell as you return home full of exciting stories and new memories.
